Under its designation as a Creative City of Gastronomy with UNESCO, Kuching City has committed to curating a series of tours aimed at visitors to Sarawak based on our important food chain. UCCN Kuching is running a half day forum to kickstart collaboration on 25 October at Telang Usan Hotel from 9am. If you are interested to participate, please register on the following link:
This forum will bring together tourism providers with F&B professionals. It will share on the role of UCCN and Sarawak government agencies in developing these packages and feature experiences from established providers already offering similar visitor experiences. It will invite participants to brainstorm and propose various options for gastronomic tours. It will then cover next steps on how Kuching, as the feeder city for Sarawak, will work towards launching these products.
Gastronomic tourism is a key global travel trend. Kuching’s membership of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network offers an important opportunity for destination branding and for knowledge exchange. But we need your support and expertise to make this a success. So, if you have an idea for a visitor experience based on food or even just want to know more about what UCCN Kuching has to offer, we look forward to seeing you there. Lunch will be provided!
