The mobile storytelling study tour saw forty students from Swinburne Australia’s film programme producing short films, entirely shot on mobile phones in locations across Kuching. These films covered eight aspects of Sarawak culture, including gastronomy of course, using innovative filming styles driven by the creative eye of Australia’s future filmmakers with Sarawak as their inspiration. The screening at Telang Usan on 15 June brought together Kuching’s creative communities to enjoy their efforts along with a fabulous lunch of indigenous cuisine.
