The UCCN Annual Conference draws together all the Creative Cities to ‘strengthen the ties between cities from around the world and serve as a platform to define the strategic objectives of an expanded and well-balanced Network.’ Held in Braga, Portugal, a city of media arts, from 1-5 July 2024, this edition is based around the theme “20 years of UCCN: Bringing youth to the table for the next decade.”
This edition of the conference welcomed 600 participants from 250 creative cities gather in Braga, the third largest city in Portugal. The conference was further organised in close cooperation with three other creative cities in the area – Sta Maria de Feira (Gastronomy), Barcelos (Craft and Folk Art) and Amarante (Music), underlining the cross-cluster nature of both the network and the conference itself.
